Ah the joys of self promotion. What sort of image is going to make it through all the chatter an art buyer is exposed to? What sums up your work in a single image. What is gritty enough to make you happy but accessible enough to make people want to hire you for a number of different types of jobs?
We decided to not only try to go with branding ourselves along our photographic styles but also along a single marketing style. Introducing taking a bite out of promos. We decided a while ago to design a website and subsequent marketing tools along a single visual aesthetic. This helps with branding because we have a look, a feel, a colour scheme that run throughout all our marketing efforts.
Since our last marketing image was more fashion orientated, we decided to try something more beauty focused since we do a fair number of both. Notice the thematic adherence. Thanks to an old lapel pin I own and a little Photoshop, the image is direct, striking, and more to the point drives you to the marketing aspect – our logo in the center of the pin.
